A modular curriculum of 1h30 workshops preparing educators to run heritage games inclusively.
The curriculum trains youth workers, coaches and teachers to deliver traditional games with inclusion built in rather than added afterwards. It is modular: each module is a 1 hour 30 minute workshop that can be delivered on its own.
Modules
1. Why heritage games work for inclusion. 2. Reading a group: ability, gender, age and language. 3. Adapting rules and equipment on the spot. 4. Safety and safeguarding in outdoor play. 5. HEPA: making sessions physically meaningful. 6. Documenting and sharing a session.
The curriculum is delivered face to face in the pilots and asynchronously through the ABARKA online campus.
